Julie For All
At Julie, we believe in access to sexual health, education, and community for all. Our mission goes beyond the morning after—we’re normalizing the fuck out of all things sexual healthcare with products that are easy to get, easy to understand, and very easy to talk about.
Julie for All, our first-of-its-kind donation program, aims to make reproductive healthcare the rule (not the exception) for our global community.
Buy A Julie, Give A Julie
Reducing and eventually eliminating barriers to emergency contraception is about much more than just stocking the shelves. We want Julie in the hands of any and everybody who needs it—so we launched the nation’s first and only one-for-one emergency contraception donation program. For every Julie purchased, we donate one. When you support Julie, you are helping a fellow human access free and safe emergency contraception.
Since its launch in 2023, we’ve donated more than 200,000 units of emergency contraception to people in need.
How It Works
So, how exactly do we get Julie from our factory and into the world?
Simple. We teamed up with other organizations to build the largest EC distribution network ever created. Once we have enough donations (thanks for that, btw) we consult with our partners to figure out who needs free Julie the most. Then, we work with our vendors to get Julie shipped out faster than you can say “pullout game”. Our partners distribute Julie throughout their communities in places like bars, college campuses, and community pharmacies—because we know time is of the essence.
Our Partners
We would not be able to get Julie into the hands of humans worldwide (we’re international, babes) without our phenomenal network of partners. Our 70+ partners are on the ground doing transformative work to make radical changes in reproductive rights for their local and national communities.
Who We Serve
We know that eliminating the barriers to EC won’t happen overnight. So until then, we’re committed to serving the people most directly affected by unequal access. Here are the facts:
- According to the Power to Decide organization, 19 million people live in contraceptive deserts without easy access to all forms of contraception. Many of these contraceptive deserts exist in states with already restrictive reproductive health laws. Close to 52% of unplanned pregnancies were the result of not using contraceptives.
- More than 20 years after the introduction of the Violence Against Women Act which includes reassurances that no one will be charged for healthcare related to sexual assault, victims are still left holding the bill. A 2019 study found that sexual assault victims in the US still face an average of $3,551 in medical bills.
- A 2020 study revealed that despite 94% of the women experiencing homelessness surveyed wanting to avoid pregnancy, most were using the least effective contraceptive methods. One major barrier was a lack of access to sexual health information and guidance, as 62% reported a physician had never spoken to them about long-acting reversible contraception methods.
